The
Amateur Christian Poets Association is a new website
dedicated to the encouragement and development of poetry
among Christians by offering critiquing and publishing of
original poetry. Hopefully, your visit will be enjoyable.
Below, we have a brief FAQ about our purpose.
Why
are we here?
Art
in the Christian community has become boring and of a
sub standard quality. We as Christians should not
tolerate this any more. Our Artistic endeavors, should
be the standard in which the rest of the world's art is
measured up to.
To take this on is an overwhelming, and almost
impossible task. It is necessary to take on one form of
art at a time. That is why this site is exclusively
dedicated to Christian poetry.
How
will you achieve this task?
We
wish to encourage, and not crush artistic growth.
however, we also wish to maintain a standard of quality.
Basically, we want to encourage poets to write better
material. If you are a poet, then submit your work. We
will Critique your poems (unless you specifically ask us
not to). If we deem your poetry of the standard which we
wish to portray, then we will post it on our site for
others to view.
Why
are we amateur?
We
call ourselves amateur, because we do not have all the
answers. In other words, although some of our volunteers
may have been published, we are all students of some
type. In other words we are all still learning.
